Our congregation is characterized by a strong prgram of Outreach Service. This happens both at the local level and through such endeavours as the clothing depot and Debra Dynes Food Bank.

We have also engaged in a process of advocacy to address political issues related to health care and poverty.

Community Outreach

Drivers pick up day-old bread and other bakery items at the Loblaws store on Baseline Road and deliver these to the Food Bank at the Debra-Dynes Family House. Volunteers help with the packaging of food twice a week. Non-perishable food items are collected every Sunday with an especially large collection on White Gift Sunday. These are delivered to the Food Bank along, with the quantities of clean plastic bags and egg cartons that are of such help in distributing the food.

We were able to support the Debra-Dynes Family House in some of their other programs: good used toys for their toy-lending library; garden tools for their community garden; sewing materials, supplies, and yarn for their sewing classes; small gifts for their sale to small children just before Mother's Day, Father's Day, Christmas, and Ramadan.

Food Bank: Donations of food are always welcome and can be left at the back of the church. They are delivered weekly to the Debra Dynes Food Bank.
