We have so much to be grateful for in 2022.
We are grateful to have Reverend Matt Gallinger lead our Sunday worship services three times a month since April and to have Reverend Trish Elliott and lay worship leaders such as Andrew Nichols and Jessica Knoyles for the remaining Sundays. We are grateful to have live music continue under the leadership of Carol Gurofsky, with her masterful playing of the organ and piano, and for the contribution of Alan Sandeman at our Remembrance Sunday service. We are grateful for the ongoing work of Agnes Malkinson, our office administrator, in supporting the virtual and administrative needs of the church. We are grateful for Bruce Spinney who has diligently maintained, repaired, and renovated our church building. We are grateful for our cleaner, Chantal Dumoulin, who helps to keep both us and the Day Care safe. We are grateful for the work of the Church Council and the church volunteers who have been faithful in their work throughout the pandemic.
And we are grateful for the front-line workers who carry out one of our more significant ministries – quality, affordable childcare through CMDC – and they have been able to do so with diligence and dedication throughout the pandemic.
We are also grateful for those who minister to those who are homeless, and for that reason we are issuing both a Red Stocking and a Red Sock Appeal.
This year, we are hoping you will consider not only donating to support the activities of the church, but also contributing either pairs of warm men’s or women’s socks (new) or a separate contribution earmarked “Socks” towards their purchase. Donated socks will be collected each Sunday of Advent and then given in the new year to two of the Ottawa organizations that support Ottawa’s homeless.
