Sunday Worship: Lent I
March 1, 2020 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Our Sunday Worship is open to all who wish to visit. There services are focused on reflection and discussion about how we can strive to live our best lives. Join us after service for fellowship, coffee , tea and snacks in Morgan Hall. We are an affirming congregation: all are welcome regardless of gender orientation, ability, age, or sexual preference.
Lent is meant to be a period of introspection – a time when we look intentionally at where we are falling down. It is a time of repentance (hence we give things up for Lent) where we identify the paths that we are meant to change. This is in response to understanding why we are having trouble living up to all the potential we see in ourselves and the world during Epiphany (the time when we see things in a new light.) The miracle of the resurrection is that God reaches us, through the cross, and through faith, what we see as missing in ourselves is filled (\“my cup overflows”).
